Block Bookings 2010-2011

Update from Amalgamation meeting at Cookstown, 29th March:

As a result of current work being carried out on Windsor Park, it is not yet known what capacity Health and Safety officials will grant the 'stadium' for the next campaign. Accordingly, it will be August before we have confirmation, and we can then proceed with our application for the Euro 2012 campaign. I would ask our current block-bookers not to panic, we are hopeful of retaining our allocation. However, I would caution members to prepare for a price for the campaign of up to £210 (inclusive of one friendly). Please keep checking this site, and your email account, for details, updates and news. One final piece of info: the AONISC have a new website - www.aonisc.com - you will find plenty of useful information here.

Update

Hi all,

We are currently in the process of deciding upon a date and time for our AGM, for a subsidised club social (drinking session), and potentially a formal if the demand is there. We also are considering introducing club polo shirts and hoodies, embroidered with the club logo (see top of page) for sale, so watch this space. We will also be taking expressions of interest for block-bookings for the upcoming series of Euro qualifiers. However, please do not contact us on this matter until you recieve an email from the club inviting you to do so.

We are aware that many of the club members have not had the opportunity to participate in club activity this year, and as such hope that as many members, old and new, will take the opportunity to get involved in the events we are planning.

Finally, if you joined the club at the start of the year, and have not yet heard from us, it may be because we could not decipher your handwriting. If this applies to you, just drop us a mail at NI-Supporters@qub.ac.uk - we'd be happy to hear from you.

About Us

The Queen’s University Northern Ireland Supporters Association (QUNISA / QUNISC) was formed in April 2002 and became fully active at the 2003 Freshers Basaar, recruiting over 90 members on the day.

During the first year of the club a vote was taken to decide who should be asked to be Hon. President. This honour was won by Billy Bingham, who has agreed to take the post.

Apart from attending Home Internationals together the club arranges weekly 5 a side for members and every week we attend the pub quiz in the Students Union to try and win some much needed cash for club funds. The club has also organised Polo Shirts for members, which we hope can be viewed on this site at a later date.

This year we hope to organise an even greater range of events Anyway, keep looking on the site for details of forthcoming meetings / events / fundraisers. Details will also be posted on the Students Union noticeboards and the ‘Our Wee Country’ Website .
